How to shoot a Civil War Cannon

How to shoot civil war cannon is a flash application running in a kiosk installation in the Crooked Creek Civil War Museum. The purpose of the application is to show patrons the process that goes into firing a cannon. You choose your target and based on the range to the target. You then select your cannon shot and type of fuse.
The patron learns the correct combination to use for each of the ranged targets from the on screen text. Right combination generates a hit, the wrong combination generates a miss regardless of range.

In developing the application I work closely with the founders on the types of cannon, cannon shot and fuses of the era. These were all faithful recreated for the simulator.

This was created using Cinema 4D, Photoshop and Flash
